what I do

  • Yes! Film is always included in my photography packages and is the main focus. However, I also shoot on my digital camera to back up the work & give more content. All digital photographs are shot on film simulation cameras that help emulate the film look.
Film however is my main thing!

  • It definitely depends on what I’ll be shooting and what the client needs. I shoot with a variety of film cameras.

Pentax K1000, Nikon FE2, Canon A-1, Olympus MJU II, Nikon L35AF, Hasselblad 500CM, Mamiya RB67, Yashica Mat-124 and much more.

The camera(s) I will use will depend on what we’re going for artistically.

  • That would highly depend on availability, how we’re shooting, and what you want your photos to feel like. For colored films, I often use Kodak Portra 400 & Kodak Gold 200. For black & white I tend to Kodak 400TX or Ilfrod HP5 Plus 400. If you want me to shoot using a specific film, just give me a heads up and I’ll try to work it out! All these details are discussed prior to shooting so you wouldn’t need to worry!

  • I started shooting film back in 2019 to develop my photography skills and let go of perfectionist editing and mindless shooting. Falling in love with this craft was neither planned nor expected. It made me experience both life and photography differently, and truthfully I’ve never been able to go back since then. There’s something so pure and sentimental about the physical light that was with you during that moment, stamping the film forever. Not only do the results look more authentic, genuine, nostalgic, and dream-like, but they relay intention. Film photography is simply mindful and artistic; a craft I will continue to hone.

You can read more about why I choose film here!

  • My approach to photographing will always be about capturing a poetic view. Imperfect but beautiful and real — film compliments that sight most purely. I love the use of natural light and shadow without too much editorial and human interference. Sometimes art is simply the vision, and not what you make out of the scene. I’m a sentimental person and I yearn for the peace and nostalgia in my photographs. I photograph with intention and intimacy.

pricing + logistics

  • Currently, I am based in Cairo, Egypt, but that would never stop me from traveling to wherever you need me! I’m available all around the world.

  • Yes definitely! The passport is valid and ready to go at any given minute! Traveling fees would depend on the location and would be discussed before booking. You would need to pay for roundtrip transportation, lodging, and visa fees if needed (that only applies if I’m traveling specifically for your session).

  • First, I always recommend contacting me first to discuss dates, locations, and everything prior. Prices of packages are only starting estimates, so this way you will get an accurate quote. Once you’re ready to book your date, you will pay a 40% non-refundable deposit (applies to all packages excluding the Peace Offerings). This confirms your booking on my calendar.

The remaining balance is due up until the day of the booking itself. However, it’s recommended to pre-pay so you don’t have to worry about finances the day of the shoot itself.

The adjusted information will be discussed with the quotation if your booking includes travel.

delivery

  • Depending on the package picked, you should receive your results in about 2 weeks. However, you can see some sneak peeks of the work around 3 days after the shoot.

For an additional charge and prior planning, you can receive your results in up to 48 hours.

  • Each 35mm film should have an estimate of 25 photos. Of course, you would also receive a lot more from the digital work, depending on the package chosen.

  • I’ll send a Google Drive link with all your uploaded photographs through the shared contact. If prints or add-ons are planned, they can also be delivered to your home.
